Different Henna Styles
As you may know, Henna is widely used across the world over many different countries and cultures. These different countries and cultures all have different henna styles. So what are the differences exactly?
Indian Mehndi
Let’s start with Indian mehndi. As you can see on the picture above, this style includes a lot of different elements, from flowers to swirls and vines. Almost every individual henna element can be used for this style. Indian Mehndi also often depicts images like the bride and groom of a traditional Indian wedding, jhumka’s, which are a style of Indian earrings, or even peacocks.
Arabian Henna
Arabic henna is very similar to Indian mehndi, as they both heavily use flowers and vines. The difference is that Arabic henna uses thicker lines and leaves. When the paste is applied, the leaves often look like half a dome on top of the skin, since the past is applied much thicker.
Fessia Henna
Fessia henna is a henna style originating from Morocco. This style consists of straight lines combined with simple, short vines to create a neat and symmetrical design.
